On Wednesday 8th December, 17 Epeeists took part in the first round of the rigorous challenge of a Poule Unique. The fencing was fast and furious, with scarcely a break between each fight, and by the end of the evening

A very good turnout of 19 epeeists were divided into two poules for the contest. Each bout was for the challenging first to three hits. The top four fencers from each poule then faced a direct elimination contest to decide
